LuxAuralis

Music for your coaching or therapy practice

LuxAuralis vs Epidemic Sound

For therapists and meditation coaches who run paid sessions and sell guided recordings, LuxAuralis offers a simpler fit: mostly hour-long music, $40 per track, and one license for both live playback and unlimited compliant spoken recordings. Epidemic Sound offers much more music and stronger video-production tools, but its licensing is geared toward different ways of publishing and playing music.

LuxAuralis and Epidemic Sound: costs and music licensing for coaches and therapists
For your practice LuxAuralis Epidemic Sound
Music during paid client sessions Explicitly allowed for therapy, massage, meditation and similar sessions or classes. No voice-over required. Physical-space playback is handled through a separate in-store music offering. An online creator subscription is not the same license.
Sell guided meditation MP3s Yes. Sell finished spoken meditations as downloads, provided at least one-third of the music used has audible voice-over. Podcast use is documented for eligible plans. That guidance does not itself confirm rights for standalone paid MP3 downloads.
Reuse the same track in 10 recordings Yes. One purchase covers any number of separate, compliant recordings. No additional license for recording number 2, 5 or 10. A purchased single-track license covers one production. For multiple new productions, use suitable active subscription coverage or further licenses.
Release new recordings next year Keep using purchased tracks in future compliant projects. The license has no fixed expiry or renewal fee. Publications made during an active subscription stay cleared. New publications after cancellation require renewed coverage.
Fill a 30–60 minute session Most tracks are about an hour long, so they can play continuously without assembling a longer soundtrack. Some tracks are shorter. Tracks featured in its meditation category are roughly 3–5 minutes. Longer backgrounds need looping, extending or arranging.
Price and ongoing payments $40 per track, plus applicable tax. One payment; no subscription and no per-project fee for compliant uses. Monthly or annual subscriptions, or single-track licenses priced by use. In-store music is a separate business solution.
Catalog and editing tools A focused selection of meditation backgrounds delivered as downloadable MP3s. No sound-effects catalog or production suite. A much larger music and sound-effects catalog, plus tools to adapt tracks. A stronger fit for high-volume, varied video production.

One track, ten guided meditations: what changes?

Suppose you record a series of ten guided meditations over the next year. You want a consistent musical background beneath your voice, and you plan to sell the finished MP3s. With LuxAuralis, you can buy one track for $40 and use it in all ten recordings. You can use it in an eleventh, too. The number of projects is not limited, as long as each recording meets the license conditions.

Epidemic Sound takes a different approach. Its single-track licenses cover one production each. A subscription can cover multiple new publications while it is active, but new publications after cancellation need fresh coverage. Existing content published during an active subscription remains cleared. For a coach returning to a favorite piece of music month after month, the difference matters.

Music for a 45-minute session shouldn't need a 45-minute editing job

Most LuxAuralis tracks run for roughly an hour. You can start the music at the beginning of a session and let it play, or place it beneath a longer spoken meditation without repeatedly stitching together short pieces. There are exceptions: Quiet Ascension is about 20 minutes, and EMDR Music is an eight-minute seamless loop.

The examples in Epidemic Sound's meditation selection are mostly three to five minutes long. Its Adapt tool can extend a track up to five minutes or make it loopable, which is useful for editors. But if your main requirement is uninterrupted background music for a full appointment, a long recording is the more straightforward starting point.

Live client work and paid downloads are not the same as social-media content

LuxAuralis expressly covers two common uses in a practice: playing music during paid sessions or classes, and selling finished spoken recordings as downloads. Live playback does not require narration. A distributed recording does: audible voice-over must accompany at least one-third of the music used. Music-only products are excluded.

Epidemic Sound has genuine strengths, but its podcast coverage does not by itself establish permission to sell standalone meditation MP3s, and it offers separate in-store music licensing for commercial spaces. If those are your two main uses, compare the actual permissions before comparing catalog sizes.

Using LuxAuralis with your clients

During a live session

You can play purchased tracks during paid therapy, massage, meditation, and yoga sessions. You do not have to speak over the music. Recording a session brings the recording rules into play.

In a recording clients keep

You can give or sell clients a finished guided meditation. Audible voice-over must cover at least one-third of the music used: 30 minutes of music needs at least 10 minutes with speech. Share your finished recording, not the separate music file.

For an app or music channel

The license excludes meditation or relaxation apps, similar digital services, and music-only YouTube videos. For a membership audio library or client portal, clarify whether the planned service falls within that exclusion before buying.

Your purchase covers unlimited compliant projects and has no fixed expiry. Refunds and payment reversals end the license; violations can also end it. Read the full LuxAuralis license.

Choose LuxAuralis if…

You run paid sessions, sell guided meditation or hypnosis recordings, and want to reuse the same long, unobtrusive background in future work without subscription renewals or per-recording licenses.

Choose Epidemic Sound if…

You produce lots of different videos, ads or podcasts, need a huge selection and editing tools, and can choose the Epidemic plan or license that covers each intended use.

Questions before you choose

Can I use one LuxAuralis track for several guided meditations that I sell?

Yes. You can sell multiple separate guided recordings using the same purchased track. Each recording must comply with the license, including audible voice-over covering at least one-third of the music used. Music-only downloads are not permitted.

Can I play LuxAuralis music during a paid massage or meditation class without talking?

Yes. The voice-over condition applies to recorded works, not to permitted live therapy, massage, meditation or yoga sessions and classes. If you record a session for distribution, the recorded-work conditions apply.

Can I use an Epidemic Sound subscription for background music in my treatment room?

Do not assume a creator subscription covers physical-space playback. Epidemic Sound offers in-store music licensing for commercial premises, including spas. Check that offering for your practice.

Does Epidemic Sound sell individual tracks?

Yes. But its single-track licenses cover one production, not unlimited new recordings. If you plan a series, compare that restriction with LuxAuralis’s unlimited-project permission.

Can I use LuxAuralis in a meditation app?

No. Meditation or relaxation apps and similar digital services are expressly excluded. LuxAuralis is intended here for live practice use and compliant finished spoken recordings, not app music libraries.

Ready to make your first recording?

Choose music you like, check that the license covers how you will share it, and build a short test recording before working on the whole session.
